Faith in money

Pope Francis does not like "money" to be idolized. On deeper analysis however , it turns out that he was referring to "greed" in money being constitutive of idolatry. But. is the use of word "idolatry" appropriate for "greed'?

Before we discuss this questionable use of word "greed" in "idolatry", let us first quote the report in www.rawstory.com.
"Speaking at daily Mass on Monday, Pope Francis condemned the worship of money."
"Though money itself was not inherently evil, Francis said the attachment to money lead to destruction of families, friends, and the self".
“It leads you to idolatry, it destroys your relationship with others,” he said, according to Radio Vatican. “It’s not money, but the attitude, what we call greed. Then too this greed makes you sick, because it makes you think of everything in terms of money. It destroys you, it makes you sick.”

“And in the end – this is the most important thing – greed is an instrument of idolatry because it goes along a way contrary to what God has done for us,” Francis added. “Saint Paul tells us that Jesus Christ, who was rich, made Himself poor to enrich us. That is the path of God: humility, to lower oneself in order to serve. Greed, on the other hand, takes us on a contrary path: You, who are a poor human, make yourself God for vanity’s sake. It is idolatry!”
First premise: "Pope Francis condemned the worship of money". What? Worship of money? Just like when somebody is making the "sign of the cross" while kneeling before and after praying using "The Name" of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, by saying "In the Name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...Amen"? In such circumstances, who is the "god" that is being idolized? is it not the "cross"? And whose "Name" were just used to attract believers? On the other hand, have you seen somebody, making a "sign of the money" at the same time, kneeling, praying, using and saying "In the "Name" of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...Amen" to it?

Second premise: "Money is not inherently evil but its attachment leads to destruction". With all due respect, what kind of logic is this? If money is not evil, how will it destroy? Besides, thinking about "money" is just ordinary to normal persons. And assuming that somebody exceeds his normal "thinking about money", which is greed, we have already human laws, e.g, anti-money laundering laws, that could properly address this greed. But how about the "idolatry" on the wooden or heavenly "Cross"? No human being had ever checked on this, as there is no law that was passed, but such "idolatry" on "images" is squarely stated in the Ten Commandments. Reverence on the Cross through "sign of the cross" is therefore inherently evil that, for so many centuries, had led, presently causing and will lead to ultimate destruction.

Third premise: "Money allegedly leads to idolatry but later "withdrawing the premise" and changing it to "greed" which causes "sickness" to think everything about "money", which money destroys and makes you sick". Tsk...tsk...tsk. No comment.

Fourth premise: "In the end, greed is an instrument of idolatry". So, it is not, after all, the "money" but "greed". But is there any idolatry in "greed'? I don't think so because you don't make a "sign of the greed" to pray and kneel, use and say "In the The Name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...Amen" to it.

In fine, there may be greed in money but there is no idolatry in money and/or greed.

Faith in false name, false image and false practices

(Source of photo: YaohĂș Servo Yaohushua’s facebook page). Are you faithful believers of false name, false image and false religious doctrines and practices? Also, is there trinity of lies and deceptions in Jesu s Christ, which makes the name merely a product of man's imagination and foolishness? Specifically, is Jesus Christ a real person in terms of authenticity of the name , authenticity of the image and validity of doctrines and   practices being attached to him by false Christians? Or was his name merely invented by the bible , his image merely created by Leonardo Da Vinci and the doctrines and practices being attached to him merely created by false Christians by deceptively stealing the Words of God and mis-using the story of the real messiah? Related to the above issue is Habakkuk 2:12-14 , which is a prophecy for Vatican City , being the headquarter of the Roman Catholicism. As a background, Habakkuk 2 prophecy refers to the judgment for United

Faith in hypocrisy

Roman Catholic faith promotes praying in public, especially, inside the Roman catholic building. Also, it promotes the alleged "holy" rosary prayer to be recited in public and in the alleged "church". You could hear these prayers in the malls and hear and see the three o'clock prayers in television. You can usually see publications showing the Pope kneeling and praying.  But what is being said in the scripture used by the Roman Catholic Alleged Church : 5 “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites ! They love to stand up and pray in the houses of worship and on the street corners, so that everyone will see them. I assure you, they have already been paid in full. 6 But when you pray, go to your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you. Is praying in public a form of hypocrisy?

Faith in pedophilia

The word "faith" connotes various meanings depending on what words are accompanying it in a sentence and who uses it. For example, it may mean faith in pedophilia. This is implied in  Pope Francis' warning against “administering a vaccine against faith”. Obviously, when he mentioned ‘vaccine against faith”, definitely, he is referring to “faith” as a disease because vaccines are only intended to prevent diseases. But when he further warned against ‘administering’ the vaccine, then he logically means that he is warning against the prevention of a disease.   Specifically, the statements are quoted as follows: “The pontiff said educational leaders should ask themselves “how can we proclaim Christ to a generation that is changing?” “We must be careful not to administer a vaccine against faith to them,” the 77-year-old added.”( http://ph.news.yahoo.com ) This is related to Roman Catholic Alleged Church way of presumably recent rethinking in dealing with the ‘ch

Faith in mysterious deception

Only truth will set you free when faced with religious deception, which is usually carried through faith in mystery. Thus, a search for it is being required to address the issue, which is inversely related to individual's rights of freedom of choice. In turn, this freedom requires "truth" as a necessity.  The less effective the exercise of freedom, e.g due to ignorance, religious arrogance, "untruthful" information, disinterest, tradition, etc., the more the enslavement by religious deception.  Its detection will not only need looking at the "truth" but would need individual's personal commitment to study and correct one's belief system, without which, the "truth", despite of its abundance, would be futile and worthless. Even in calamities , religious deception is present. A religious sector may act as a representative of God by substantially promoting "God is Love" but at the same time continues t

Faith in constellation southern cross

"Cross is the smallest of the 88 modern constellations ,but is one of the most distinctive types, being dominated by a cross-shaped asterism that is commonly known as the Southern Cross". ( Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) The image of the cross is the most important part of Roman Catholicism. In fact, you could see nuns, priests, bishops, archbishops, and Popes wearing crucifix. Also, by comparison, Christ called the Father in heaven as "Father" but Roman Catholicism is calling the Father in Vatican City as "Holy Father". The  body of Christ is not being called holy in contrast to the cross, which is being called "holy". When  Christ died, he was resurrected to life by the Father in heaven. But when the cross lost its force against early Christians, who were never afraid to die on the cross, it was resurrected to life by the Holy Father in Vatican City through the Roman Empire. Aside from calling it holy, Roman Catholicis
